About CCEDC
History
The Crawford County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) was incorporated as a 501(c)4 non-profit on March 2, 2011. CCEDC exists as the only entity created with the single purpose of promoting economic development throughout all of Crawford County. CCEDC is active statewide and regionally to promote the growth of the local economy.
Organization
The CCEDC Board of Directors meets regularly as a full board and in committee. It has adopted bylaws and appoints officers pursuant to those requirements. All 22 units of local government in Crawford County are represented either individually or at large. Board members serve one, two or three year terms.
Staff
David Connolly, AICP, Executive Director. Mr. Connolly has over 5 years of experience working in economic development. His experience ranges from coordination of development review processes to administration of a US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) sponsored economic development district. In addition, his background encompasses fiscal and economic impact assessment as well as redevelopment planning for central business districts.
Other work includes land development code revisions, creation of physical development design guidelines, regional economic modeling, and energy plan review. In the area of comprehensive planning, Mr. Connolly has worked extensively in transportation, land use, capital improvement programming, infrastructure and conservation. He has previously held planning positions in Iowa, Illinois and Florida. Mr. Connolly has a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa, and he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
