Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway US Senate Bill Hearing

On June 27, 2012, the US Senate Subcommitee on National Parks will review a bill to establish the Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway (FWHP) as part of the federal National Heriage Areas Program. The National Park Service Heritage Areas Program promotes tourism and economic devleopment without federal ownership or management of land. 

CCEDC staff participates as part of the FWHP core planning team and stongly endorses FWHP authorizing legislation as consistent and well supported by CCEDC bylaws. Accordingly, a staff letter of support, on behalf of the FWHP, was submitted for the record to be considered during upcoming deliberations.  Click here to see that letter of support.
